In 1899, the Western Australian gold rush was on! The Perth Mint opened to accommodate the rich gold deposits that were being uncovered in Coolgardie and Kalgoorlie, and young Perth was thriving. Reporting on the events of the day was the newly established Swan Express Newspaper in Midland. The “Swan Express” would continue reporting local Perth events until 1978.
Over 100 years later, ACS Swan Express Print is still printing in Perth, only now we provide printing services for Perth businesses – including agricultural, chemical and mining industries, restaurants, sporting groups, publishers, and the general public. After the newspaper closed down, we merged with Art Copy Service (ACS) to form ACS Swan Express Print – making us the longest established printer in Perth.
